The massive redwood falls...

It was dark and we were HOURS from our final destination on Saturday.

However, after driving through a tree, finding the gift shop closed (how rude!)...we turned the corner to leave in the rain and darkness when my eye caught a massive figure...

A giant redwood had fallen in the woods (did it really make a sound?) and its remains were right there for gawking.
Megan was actually scared of it, it was so large and daunting.
Here they are with their dramatic reaction. Though it was dark, I tried to capture it's enormity anyway!
