12 Days...of Clues?

That's right. Most people think of the 12 days of Christmas...RIGHT?



Well, not at our house. Nope, that would be just too traditional for us!



Instead, beginning on December 13th, Ian and Megan began receiving a box on the porch each day! And it wasn't a partridge in a pear tree, either!



On the first day...they received an...Atlas?

On the second day...all the gift cards in the house that had never been used!

On the third day...big, beautiful grapes...and sunglasses!

On the 4th day...a brand new GPS system!

On the 5th day...a box movies and a note to charge the DVD players!

On the 6th day...a box of Happy New Year things!!

On the 7th day...a box of hot chocolate with marshmallows!

And on the 8th day...after the messenger stayed up alllll night...a notebook with a map of California on the front!!



There were numerous thoughts about how these clues arrived. Megan's final theory was that Melissa delivered them, since she "stays home during the day". The one day the box was late, she thought "Yep, it's Melissa...she is sick today!"



And so...we were laying in bed at my sister's house on Thursday night...because I was "sick". I was speaking to my friend Molly on the phone and she asked what time we were going to the airport in the morning. Megan overheard her on the phone! The rest is history!!



We landed in Oakland, California on Friday at 12:00. The rest of day one to follow soon!
