Meet our new friend Joe
I had walked the kids to death all over San Francisco.
I put off eating in hopes of finding that perfect little place.
Unfortunately, everywhere we went was either too long of a line, too expensive, or Megan didn't like it.
They were about in meltdown status when I reluctantly agreed to ONE trip to McDonald's.
We walked down to Fisherman's Wharf, gathered our bag of (ugh) McD's, and headed over to the pier for some San Fran sun.
We took advantage of a quick peek at the sea lions behind pier 39, and then there was "Joe".
Sea lions. It was here I discovered that my extra digital zoom no longer works. :(

This friendly fellow appeared as we showed up with French fries. He didn't leave and he didn't relent. He seemed to be guarding us. I wonder why?
The kids named him "Joe" and noticed the red part on his beak.
Ian fed him the last fry for being so patient, while running away to avoid the onslaught.
