California Adventure...Day one!
Well, we made it to the airport on Friday morning. Here we were standing in the line for Skybus. I asked Megan if she figured out where we were going yet...and she said NO!!!
So, I brought out the last clue and handed it to each of them. A journal for their journey, complete with a map of California on the front! Megan was very surprised and they were both excited.
I couldn't wait to get on the plane and take a nap. :)
We weren't able to sit together on the plane so we each had our own stories to share of the people we met.
I sat next to Jacob and his Grandma from Lima. Jacob had just graduated from Ohio State and was accompanying his grandma to see his uncle in California. He had never been and was thrilled to be hanging out with grandma Eleanor, who no longer will travel alone.
Jacob majored in communications and psychology, and doesn't really know what he wants to do. In the meantime...he is a leader for a teen group at a local church in Powell, so he was catching up on his guidebook training on the plane. He has his whole life ahead of him!
We landed safely in Oakland and grabbed our many suitcases to go find our rental car.
After our first car had "too many miles" on it (!), they UPGRADED (??) me to a Toyota Corolla!
Jeepers, that's an upgrade?
Oh well...it's great on gas and we have plenty of room with one kid in the front and one kid and suitcases in the back...
Should be a fun ride. :)
