Air Force One, continued.
We weren't allowed to take pictures inside the plane itself, so this is as up close and personal as it gets. :)
I was fascinated by all of the detail. This was the 27000 that no longer flies.
They brought it over from Washington, broken down into pieces over a 9 week period.
Boeing came in to piece it back together, a 10-week project, and they then had to repaint the plane.
My guess is there might have been a few communication and security things removed in the process.
Just a hunch.
Inside, we saw the president's office, the first lady's office, the kitchen and galley, cockpit, communications center, and staff and guest seating. I think I was amazed at how posh it wasn't! I mean, if I am leader of the nation, I like what I see, but I don't love it as much as I am in it! (some years flying over 100,000 miles!)
Still pretty cool to walk through.
