Arriving at Alcatraz

I had purchased tickets on-line for the Alcatraz tour. This was a tip from friends who had been.
Thank goodness - when we got there, it was sold out until Wednesday!
We boarded the ferry and off we went.

I am not going to give all the details...because it was hands down the best site tour I have ever been on. So many stories, and told by real people - officers and inmates. So very cool!

Actual Penitentiary sign. We don't know why it said "Indians Welcome".

If you ever get the chance...well worth every penny and moment spent!
